EB Garamond

This project brings Claude Garamont’s classic designs into the open-source world, offering a free revival of the Garamond types based on the 1592 Berner specimen. The typefaces aim to support extended Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic scripts in styles like regular, italic, bold, and bold italic, with additional initials drawn from a 16th-century French Bible print. Rich in OpenType features—such as small caps, multiple numeral styles, and Renaissance-inspired details—the fonts are suitable for both print and digital use.
